Why I Watch MMA

People are willing to pay $65 for the PPVs when these people fight. They are willing to buy $1000 nosebleed seats to watch them live. And here I am saying that every penny is worth it. You get two skilled warriors in a small cage with no shoes or weapons and only 4-ounce gloves and violence is bound to happen. That to me is 1000 times more exciting than watching a 60-minute football game that only has about 13 minutes of excitement or a 9 inning baseball game which is the 12th in 13 days for a team.

Let the Little Things GO

But this article isn’t about shock value or how stupid I was when I was young; it’s about how I realized that some battles aren’t worth my time. I was done with my second long term relationship and it occurred to me that I have never been good with friends or girlfriends/wife because I didn’t just let things go…I wanted to argue or mouth off. I’ve always been the asshole of whichever group I’ve been a part of and that was because of my mouth. I am not a physically imposing man and never have been but I could mouth off with the best of them. I let my opinions fly and even more than that, I would pick at people until situations were bad or people were pissed off. I always looked at it like this; if I can get someone pissed off but they still enjoy hanging out with me, they are real friends. Looking back on it, only 1 person remains from more than a decade ago. I probably ran more friends and girlfriends away than I needed to. Not that I regret it…I am where I always needed to be.

Mac is Back!

I was born in 1980 so I love most things from the 80's, mainly movies and TV shows. Imagine my excitement and fear when I see a commercial for the remake of one of my all time favorite shows MacGyver. The commercial looks good and I look forward to taking a test drive on this televisual feast. For those of you who don't know MacGyver of old... slap yourself. MacGyver was an agent of the Phoenix Foundation, I am not exactly sure what their purpose was but he got to go all over the world getting into trouble and had to use his mind and minimal equipment to get himself out of said trouble.
