I’m working on a
project that will provide baseball, football, basketball, and history cards to kids in low-income neighborhoods.
As a collector, and being around true collectors for most of my life, mail day makes most of us 40 to 60-year-olds feel like kids being handed the keys to the chocolate factory. And that’s with us knowing what we are getting and when its going to be in the mailbox. My thoughts are to create a feeling close to that with kids that have very little. Kids that aren’t expecting anything in the mail addressed specifically to them, from someone that wants nothing more than to brighten their day.
I know cards got me through some tough times in my life. They have been a constant, a reminder of great days trading with friends in the grassy circle down the street from my childhood home. The sounds of thumping from cards in the spokes of my bicycle. The beat up Dwight Gooden and Daryl Strawberry in my front pocket most days at elementary school.
My hope is that my cards will help others through some tough spots, allowing them to get to a point in their lives where they can share with others.

If you know of any kids in need, or know of organizations that would like to help out, feel free to contact us with any information or concerns.
